image474_1The Purpose of Prayer is to express our submission to the sovereignty of God and our trust in His Faithfulness. Prayer is the means by which we express all that is in our hearts to our loving Father. Prayer is not to give God information, because God knows everything. Prayer brings us into reverent communion with God’s will, worshipping Him and acknowledging Him as the Giver of all things. Please feel free to let us know how to pray specifically for the burden on your heart.   PRAYER REQUEST

We must never forget that every believer has two natures-- an old nature and a new nature. The old carnal nature with which we were born will never reform. It will go on lusting, giving us trouble until we die. Through the new nature we learn to say "no" to the old nature. There will be daily confrontation between the two. The Bible says:   Galatians 5:16-17

This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For  the flesh lusteth against the  Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other:  so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Lordship is a surrender of our wills and a dedication of our lives to God as a living sacrifice.

During his earthly ministry,Jesus had a confrontation with the Sadducees and the Pharisees over this question:

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law? Jesus replied: Thou shalt Love thy Lord God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul , and with all thy mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Matthew 22:36-40

Here are some scriptures that makes salvation perfectly clear:

SALVATION IS A GIFT & CANNOT BE EARNED
Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY OF SALVATION
John 14:6
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me"
I AM A SINNER
Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
THE PENALTY FOR SIN IS DEATH...SEPARATION FROM GOD IN HELL
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
CHRIST PAID FOR MY SINS WITH THE SHEDDING OF HIS BLOOD
I Peter 1:18-19
"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:"
I MUST PERSONALLY CALL ON THE LORD IN BELIEF
Romans 10:13
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
